Festival Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer at the Tooele Arts Festival! It takes volunteers to help us setup, run and tear down the event and there’s no way the Festival would happen without volunteers!

Staff Members Needed

Fundraising Staff Members

We are looking for ambitious and outgoing volunteers to help us with our fundraising and corporate sponsorship needs. If you don't mind attending a few meetings, contributing to our team and would like to help us out in fundraising, come and join our festival staff.

Publicity Staff Members

We are looking for staff members to help us out in our local and statewide publicity needs. If your outgoing, don't mind attending a few staff meetings, and are a good communicator, come and join our festival staff.

Part-Time Volunteers Needed

Festival Setup

Wear your grubbies and help us build the Festival! We start the Thursday before the event begins and work right up to the opening day on Friday to get everything ready for our guests. Help us set up canopies, set barricades, hang signs and banners, setup chairs and tables, set up booths, and help artist get settled. If you’re not afraid of a little hard physical labor come and join us!

Visual Artists Booth Sitter

Enjoy meeting people? This is a great way to help out our visual artists by giving them a break in their long day, refill their water bottles or get a bite to eat. You don’t have to sell their art, you just hang out in their booth and tell the patrons the artist will be back in a few minutes.

Registration Booth

If you’ve been coming to the Arts Festival for years, share some of your knowledge with fellow patrons at the Information Booth. We’ll have Festival guides, performance schedules and names of visual artists and their booth locations in the Marketplace available for our guests.

Food & Beverage Booth

This is a great opportunity for groups, friends, or organizations to volunteer together. We need volunteers to serve hotdogs and pour sodas.

Children’s Art Yard

If you’re a kid at heart this is where we need your talents! Come help the nonprofit organizations as they create hands-on projects for children to work on at the Children's Art Yard.

Festival Tear Down

Come help us take everything down and put it away for next year. This job involves lots of physical labor. We start tearing down the festival right when the festival ends on Sunday. We work until the park is cleaned up entirely. Help us tear down canopies, remove the barricades, bring down signs and banners, stack chairs and tables, tear down booths, and help artist get packed up and ready to go.

Check in Procedures

Check In

Check in at the festival registration desk each day you are scheduled to volunteer. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled shift time. Wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. It’s usually hot in Utah in the summertime, but we have been known to get an occasional summer thunderstorm rolling through in the late afternoons, so bring a light jacket if the forecast is for rain.
